Job description

Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the structure and implementation of Cedar Point Health staff level clinical positions training.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve upon on-boarding and training of new clinical employees in group and/or one-on-one training.
  • Work closely with site supervisors and the HR team members to ensure staff have a valuable experience through on-boarding.
  • Develop and improve clinical training curriculum.
  • Assign and assess clinical competencies of new clinical employees, ensures the new employee can work independently within 90 days of employment.
  • Drive the clinical internal certification program.
  • Work in collaboration with the DO to ensure clinical and EHR workflows are working well.
  • Give oversight to quality control and in collaboration with Quality team
  • Assist in the development and update of policies and procedures that align with best practices and standard workflow.
  • Coordinate and conduct annual or recurring training.
  • Participate in development and implementation of clinical services and training strategies that address performance gaps.
  • Work in collaboration with HR and site supervisors to recommend clinical staff for continuing education and development opportunities to enhance skills and promote retention.
  • Coordinate the training schedule for all Medical Assistants and Clinical Aides.
  • Ability and desire to travel between locations as needs present themselves and with general regularity

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse degree or higher preferred.
  • Must have three or more years of training experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physicians, and clinical support staff preferred.
  • Impeccable organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail.
  • Great interpersonal skills with a desire to continuously educate employees in both classroom and clinical settings.
  • High empathy skills and understanding of effective teaching methodologies.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to adapt to various learning styles.

Experience: 3 years’ experience in a clinical training or similar role.

Education: Registered Nurse Degree or higher preferred.

Mental and Physical Requirements: Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending and lifting. This position requires a full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to use a variety of office equipment. May require working under stressful conditions.

Conditions: Normal office and exam room environment. The position requires the ability to work under pressure and with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, clients, patients, insurance companies, labs, hospitals, and other members of the public on a regular basis. The position may cause exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical environment.
